Björnsson / Marx is a music theater duo consisting of Thorbjörn Björnsson (director and performance) and Julia Marx (text and dramaturgy). Since 2018 they have been developing productions together, whose themes often move at the interface between the everyday and the existential, the intimate and the abstract. On a project basis, they collaborate with musicians from different disciplines and backgrounds who also act as performers in their pieces. Starting from a specific thematic and musical inspiration, they develop a dense overall composition of musical arrangements and newly written texts. They are interested in an intimate, situational and associative music theater.
